Higher Education - A Guide for Parents

Click on the link above to view our comprehensive guide for parents.

We want young people to have the opportunity to consider all of the higher education options available to them and have access to all of the information they need to make informed decisions about their future.

We also want to make sure that you have all of the information you need to help support the young people in your life to make decisions about higher education. We’ll use this section of our website to post information and resources for you, to help you support them in making those key decisions and make sure they are on track to choosing the right option for them and reaching their goals.

Higher education qualifications can help young people access successful careers and stable jobs in the North East and beyond. There are several routes through higher education, including degrees, Higher Apprenticeships, and Higher National Diplomas. There are also lots of different places that young people can study both in the North East and nationally. In the North East we have an amazing offer from universities and colleges right on our doorstep and working together we can help young people choose the best options to make their future successful.
