Introduction to Higher Education

Welcome to the first activity to help you find your FutureMe online!

This week we're explaining what we mean by higher education and debunking some common myths. Take the time to watch, listen to and read the information on this page before testing your new (or improved) knowledge on higher education using our quiz.

Introduction to FutureMe and Higher Education

Let's start with a video from our Higher Education Ambassadors, Clara, Hannah and Sarah. In this video they'll be explaining what FutureMe is and what we mean by the term higher education.

We hope you enjoyed that video. You can find more videos with information, hints and tips on our YouTube Channel. Make sure you subscribe so that you don't miss out!

What can I study?

As Hannah explained in the video, higher education is any qualification at Level 4 or above. There are lots of different types of qualification available and lots of different subjects to choose from. Here is our guide to the qualifications, you can also download this at the bottom of the page:

Qualification Levels

It might help to think of them as stepping stones to your dream career. It's ok if you don't have a career in mind yet, you can move up through the levels studying something you enjoy and picking up a range of skills on the way.

Tip: Think about where you are now and which level might be next for you.
